A continuation of my Grand Slam Record Series. After Rafa’s 22 and Roger’s 20, I wanted to go back to two very different firsts:
Rafa’s 1st — his first Wimbledon title, and his first Grand Slam on grass.
Roger’s 1st (sold separately) — his first French Open title, completing the Career Grand Slam.
Two firsts. Two different surfaces. Two moments that became part of their legacies.
The textured backgrounds of the two paintings mirror each other, giving symbolic meaning to the relationship between Fedal—the rivalry that defined the Open Era of tennis.
